The New Generation showcase highlights the best of new emerging creative talents expected to propel the Australian fashion industry forward for years to come. Designers selected for the New Generation program are provided invaluable marketing, publicity, and social media coverage to reach a global audience, and industry-networking opportunities. New Generation (previously Next Generation) has helped discover and launch the careers of Camilla and Marc, Kate Sylvester, Gorman, sass and bide, Akira, Amy Lawrence and more.

Started many years ago to please her own design needs for different and elegant clothes, it has seen her travel from Moree to Cannes, Darwin to New York and be recognized for beautiful one-off pieces and powerful runway shows.

Miimi & Jiinda

Miimi & Jiinda was born from the close bond between a Gumbaynggirr mother and daughter. Founder Melissa, the creative director, paints original artworks inspired by her Gumbaynggirr culture and designs the clothing, which she prints onto fabric creating stunning wearable art. Her creations transition seamlessly into high-fashion, sustainable garments.
